Uncle Bryan and Cousin A.J.

Uncle Bryan and Hayden Cousin A.J. and Hayden Uncle William, Cousin A.J., and Hayden Today Hayden got to meet his Uncle Bryan and his cousin, A.J., for the very first time! They live in Oklahoma and we don't get to see each other very much, so we have been waiting for this moment for about 3 months now. Hayden seemed to really enjoy being around them, especially A.J. They took to each other like they have known each other forever! When Uncle Bryan picked up Hayden for the first time, Hayden was a little taken back....I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Uncle Bryan is about 6'5" - 6'6". Once Hayden got used to his size, he felt very comfy!! We were hoping he was going to get to meet Aunt Shannon and Cousin Tara this trip, but we will have to wait until Thanksgiving! We can't wait, though. Matter of fact, Hayden will get to meet a lot of family members then! His first Thanksgiving will be very exciting meeting all of his family for the first time.

Hayden's New Toys!

Last night Hayden was very fussy...sinus infection and teething... and we were trying anything and everything to make him (and us) feel better. So, I pulled out his walker that Ms. Donna gave him and his saucer that Ms. Jane and Ms. Emily gave him. He really isn't old enough for them, but we were desperate! I put Hayden in the walker first and he loved it! He laughed and smiled at himself in the mirror. He continued to do this until he quit smiling and the little boy looking back at him in the mirror stopped smiling too! He didn't get it...and so he got a little upset, but Mom and Dad kind of got a laugh (out of relief) out of it! Next, I put him in his saucer. He was so overwhelmed at first because of the many objects and the many bright colors. He didn't know where to look first, but finally became intrigued with the sun that bounces back and forth! We think he really enjoyed the independence these toys gave him and it took his mind off of feeling so crummy!! Thank you Donna, Jane, and Emily for the walker and saucer! You all made our evening/night bearable!! These are some of the pictures I snapped as I enjoyed my little boy explore something new!! Enjoy!

Our First Blog

This is the first "Blog" from the Trent's. I hope all enjoy! We decided to begin to blog so that we could keep our loved ones, near and far, updated on our newest member of the family, Hayden! He just turned 3 months old last weekend. He is now about 16 pounds and about 24 inches long. He such a big boy! He is growing up so fast...it makes us a little sad. He also got his first haircut and boy did he need one. People were beginning to mistake him for a girl and that really did not set well with Dad. He now looks like a little man. His first Halloween has come and gone. After much thought, we decided he would be a lion. Hayden was not very sure about the whole costume idea, but he finally got the idea that Mom was not letting it go. I wanted it to 'perfect'. I got his nose colored and tried to draw on his whiskers, but I guess I was pushing it a little too far, so I let that detail go! I did get some really cute pictures of him in his costume and at the pumpkin patch, but I also got some pictures that will definitely be used against him later!!! Enjoy!
