It's Been a Long Time....

Wow....it has been such a long time since I have actually sat down and posted anything. The last time I posted on our blog was before summer. I have so many pictures to share with everyone...pictures of 4th of July, Hayden's first birthday party, the circus, and many more. To catch everyone up.... Hayden has turned 1. He is growing like a little weed! He is walking/running and is into everything. He has been going to an "in-home daycare" since the beginning of the school year. He absolutely loves going. He has made friends and has learned so much just in the short time he has been there. He especially loves his YAYA, the lady who takes care of him. He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Elmo, or Mo and he calls him. He had tubes put in back in August and has not had an ear infection since! We are so truly blessed! Robert is still working for the Elevator Co. and loves his job. He is in his last class this year and then he will graduate. He has been busy volunteering on the 2008 Committee for the Terrell/Kaufman Ducks Unlimited Banquet. He has one more meeting and then the banquet will be here and then he is finished for a while....YEA! He has really enjoyed the work and being with his hunting buddies. As for me, I have taken on a new position at school. I am now the CMC teacher and ARD Vice Chair at Porter. I LOVE my new job. I have a lot more "trainings and workshops" to attend than before, but they will soon be over! I have two more classes as well as practicum to have my master's complete. I should be finished next fall. I think I have drug this school thing out long enough and I am ready to be done with it. I know Robert is ready to quit writing checks to TAMU-C!!! Check out the pictures from this summer. I will be posting swimming pictures, state fair pictures, pumpkin patch pictures, and Halloween pictures soon! Enjoy! Fourth of July Tuckered from the day! Just Some Pictures!

These are a few pictures that have been taken in the last month or so at various times! Enjoy!!!

Super Smart!

Can you tell Hayden's mother is a teacher? Here he is sitting in his highchair reading a book. He would look at the book and "read" it and then turn to us and "tell us all about it". Notice that his book is in the proper position and upright....Mom and Dad did not position the book into his hands....Honest! He's just Super Smart!!

My How He's Grown!!

My how Hayden has grown....and fast! See for yourself! Here is Hayden in his Jeep carrier at about 1 month old! "> Here is Hayden in his Jeep carrier at about 9 months old!

Cousin Tara

Hayden's Cousin Tara came into town from Oklahoma for a basketball tournament. We went to see her play in Lake Dallas and it was so great to visit with her and to see her play. As you can see, Hayden was really happy to be with Cousin Tara too! It was great to see you Tara. We can't wait to see you again soon!

Woody the Woodchuck

Check out Hayden's newest hobby or shall I say his new teether....his BED!! When I first realized what had happened I was in disbelief. I must add that I was horrified and upset that this new, beautiful piece of furniture had been ruined. Now, those tiny little teeth marks that have been dug into that deep, dark cherry wood are beginning to grow on me. I know that in years to come, I will cherish those tiny teeth marks more and more.

Elmo

We LOVE Elmo!! Today we had a play date with Elmo. We have been waiting several months for this play date! Hayden finally got to play with his new Elmo sprinkler. We weren't exactly sure how he was going to react to it, but he seemed to really enjoy it! Check out the pictures!!! Notice that Hayden is playing from afar and really checking things out! The last picture is of the guys getting ready to go in to take baths. FYI - You can click on the pictures to for a larger view.

Splish! Splash! I was taking a bath....

One of Hayden's favorite parts of the day is bath time! He LOVES it! He could be the grumpiest of grumpies, but as soon as he hits the tub... all his worries wash away. He plays and splashes and laughs. His daddy bathes him and then the playtime is on...Bath time at our house could last up to 30 - 45 minutes or longer!! And when he is out, dried, and clothed, oh the sweet smell...and honestly, it is one of my favorite parts of the day and I love it too!

Dallas Blooms - Texas Style

Today we went to the Dallas Arboretum. Their "Dallas Blooms" exhibit is going on now. Every year the theme for Dallas Blooms is different. This year the theme is Texas. They had all the different types of Bluebonnets and some of the flowers were designed to represent the different symbols of Texas (hat, Texas shape, star...). We all had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers. Here are a few pictures from the days' outing!
