Long Time, No Blog!

Well....it has been almost 3 full months since I've blogged. A lot has happened in the Trent household since then. Let's see. Where to begin, Where to begin.... We'll start with my hubby, Robert. He is still working in the Elevator trade and is doing very well. He is in his 3rd year of school with one more to go. Then he will be able to sit for the mechanics test. He loves his job. He is currently remodeling our house. He has pulled up all the carpet and other flooring. He is in the process of laying down ceramic tile. He has a lot of work ahead of him, but he has completed the guest bath and hallway. I do have to admit that it looks great. I wish I had taken before and after pictures so everyone could see the HUGE difference! Moving on...I am still teaching 2nd and 3rd grades (yes, at the same time)...not sure how, but I am doing it. My third graders are getting ready to take their "big test" this next week! I am going to school as well. I am working on my master's. If things go as planned, then I should be able to graduate next Dec. I will be so happy when all of this schooling is behind me. I have helped Robert a little with the remodeling project, but with dinner, laundry, and Hayden, it is hard for us both to work at the same time!! We still have our dogs, Grizz and Angel. Angel has been rather ill lately with UTIs and a thyroid problem. So, we have also been sharing the duty of taking care of her. We, as well as our wallets, are hoping that she is on the road to recovery!! She does seem to be feeling better. On to more important things.....HAYDEN! He has grown so much! He is doing so much now! He is sitting up, rolling over, sitting in his high chair, eating veggies and fruit, talking "his language", and he has two of the cutest teeth ever!! He is 7 months now and is wearing 12-18 month clothing. He is such a big boy and he is so much fun! He loves to laugh. He did give us a pretty good scare right before Christmas. He had a seizure. He has had 2 since the first initial one. We have gone to neurologists and had some testing done. Everything has turned out normal...Praise God! He has been diagnosed with what is called Sandifer's Syndrome. It is basically where he has acid reflux and heart burn while he is eating and/or immediately after he eats. This can cause seizure-like activity called spasms. We have meds. and as long as he is on his meds, he's good to go! He should grow out of this, so it is not permanent. Please keep him your prayers, though!! Ok....now for the picures that you've been waiting for! This is picture of Uncle Scott holding Hayden for the first time. We all got to meet Aunt Jeany Lou for the first time, too. She just got here from the Phillipines. Hayden with Cousin Mel. They are watching OU get beat the weekend after Thanksgiving. You can see that Aunt Shannon is not very happy! If you didn't know, the Trents are from OK. Hayden's first time eating veggies was fun for all. He had green beans first. He seemed to like them, but he was more interested in the spoon! This is Hayden after only 4 hours of sleep. He had to have no more than that before his "sleep deprived EEG". He did very well...I think he did better than Mom and Dad! Here is Hayden with all of his "leads" on his head toward the end of the EEG with Quniton. Quinton did a great job of making us all feel as comfy as possible. Here are several Christmas pictures of Hayden. You can tell that he was not interested at all in the first picture. The second picture was taken in the big sleigh at the Bass Pro Shop in Garland. The last pictue is my favorite... Hayden and Daddy under the tree looking at the lights. This is something that Daddy has done ever since I have known him! Hayden had his Valentine pictures taken at "The Picture People". These were our favorites that were taken that day!!
